Lemon Drizzle Loaf Recipe

Hello everyone I'm really sorry there was no blog on Sunday and this one is late, I am very busy and hopefully will not miss anymore for a long time. Here is a lemon drizzle loaf recipe that I made up and fell in love with; I love the way it looks like a loaf of bread and you can slice it and share it.

You Will Need:

For The Loaf:
  • 175g Unsalted Butter
  • 175g Caster Sugar
  • 190g Self Raising Flour
  • 1 1/2 Unwaxed Lemons
  • 2 Mediam Eggs
For The Drizzle:
  • 1 Lemon ( same lemon as in the loaf can be used, you only need 2 lemons in total for the whole recipe.
  • 20g Caster Sugar
  • 30g Icing Sugar
Method:
  • Preheat your oven to 180 (fan) ( gas mark 6 / 200C )
  • Line a loaf tin with baking parchment.
  • Cream together your butter and sugar and whisk your eggs in a separate bowl.
  • Add in your eggs and flour in 3 parts starting and ending in flour.
  • Add in 1 1/2 lemons' rind and the juice of one lemon.
  • Pour the batter into the tin and bake for 20-30 minutes.
  • Make your lemon drizzle by combing the caster sugar with the icing sugar and lemon juice.
  • Once the loaf has cooled slightly pour over your drizzle and leave to completely cool for roughly 15 minutes.
  • Slice and enjoy!

hope you enjoyed this recipe and once again I'm sorry my blog isn't up to standard at the moment.
